Ecometamorphosis

GRAW Open Studio, Exhibition, Rotterdam 2024

Ecometamorphosis investigates transformation and material agency in a posthuman future, exploring what remains when the human form dissolves into the world. Drawing inspiration from cycles of decay, regeneration, and non-human entanglements, the project employs bioplastics to create hybrid, mutable forms that evolve over time. These translucent, fragile shapes act as temporal matter—wrinkling, merging, and eroding—inviting reflection on dehumanization, ecological interconnection, and the porous boundaries between body, technology, and environment. Through immersive installations integrating light, sound, and video, Ecometamorphosis offers sensorial encounters with matter in flux, imagining alternative lifeworlds beyond human-centered existence.
